Bus Service to Dodger Stadium

Spring is in the air and that means one thing to sports fans coming to Los Angeles.  It is time for baseball, America’s past time.  Amongst die hard baseball fans, they know that Dodger’s Stadium is a must see. Recognized by Sport’s Illustrated as “the best in baseball” amongst major league stadiums, this year it is expected that hundreds of thousands of LA Dodger fans will visit this sports mecca, in their effort to support the Dodgers as they defend their title as 2009 National League West Division Champion. Speculation is high that the team will once again win the division and hopefully, the stadium will, once again, host the World Series and become home to the World Series Champions.

HotelsCombined.com recently recognized the Kyoto Grand as their recommended hotel for planning outings to Dodger’s Stadium.  (Read Article Here) . One of the reasons for this selection is the hotels close proximity to Union Station and the recently reinstated Metro Bus to Dodger Stadium, which passes by the hotel.

From the Metro’s Release on their website: www.metro.net/

“This service will begin at Union Station and continue to Dodger Stadium on Sunset Boulevard/Cesar Chavez Avenue. Service will be provided starting 90 minutes prior to the beginning of the game and will end 45 minutes after the end of the game. Metro and the Dodgers will also provide in-kind marketing assistance to promote the service. This route will maximize the opportunity for Dodger fans to leave their cars at home, to reduce congestion and support air quality by taking public transportation including Metro bus and rail lines, Metrolink, regional rail and other bus services to Union Station. Service will be available during the pre-season and regular season games.”
