Getting to the Big Dance: Planning Your Trip to the Pac 10 Tournament
March 9th marks the tip off first round of the annual PAC 10 Men’s Basketball Championship tournament. Every year this tournament showcases some of the best basketball on the West Coast, and sets the tone for a potential NCAA National Champion. Several of the past champions including UCLA , USC , Oregon and Arizona all have gone on to the NCAA Final Four.
On the Road to the Final Four:
This year, Los Angeles favorites USC and UCLA have struggled at times, but that can all be erased. At the beginning of the Pac 10 conference tournament, chances are reset and every team has a chance to play Cinderella, pull the big upset and be the bubble buster for one of their rivals. The winner of the tournament receives the automatic bid to represent the conference in the NCAA tournament. Come and watch and cheer your favorite team on as they vie for their chance to make it to the “big dance” in Indianapolis this year.

Los Angeles Staples Center: Home of the Pac 10 Championship
Located adjacent to the energetic LA Live venue, the Staples Center is one of the premiere sports and entertainment venues in the area. Staples Center is an exciting hub of sports action when the Los Angeles Lakers dominate the court or when the Los Angeles Kings take to the ice to defend their home turf. Staples Center is also one of the biggest indoor arenas in Southern California for hosting world-class concerts, sports events and other types of exciting shows.
This year, the Pac 10 tournament first round schedule is Wednesday, March 10th at 8:00 PM, featuring the eight and ninth seed teams. The quarterfinals start the next day with the tip off starting at 12:00 PM PST. Tickets are available online and can be picked up at the ticket window on Chick Hearn Drive.
