Congratulations to Los Angeles All Stars for representing so well during 2011 NBA All Star Jams Weekend.

Congratulations to Los Angeles players Blake Griffin and Kobe Bryant, who did a phenomenal job of representing Los Angeles, last weekend during the 2011 NBA All Star Jam Weekend.

Los Angeles Clippers rookie forward Blake Griffin amazed all during this year’s Sprite Slam Dunk Contest, coming away victorious on Saturday night, defeating Wizards’ center JaVale McGee in the finals clinching it by flying over the hood of a Kia Optima with a pass from teammate Baron Davis through the sunroof.

Check out the impressive demonstration here

In addition, Los Angles Lakers All Star Forward Kobe Bryant was named MVP of the NBA All Star game after dropping in 37 points in fornt of the home crowd at the Staples Center, who had a great time watching the West in their 148-143 victory over the East. This is Bryant’s 4th All Star MVP reward.

Check out this video of Kobe’s highlights from the weekend events from the NBA:

After the All Star break, there is a lot of excitement and interest in games. Both the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers play at the Staples Center. If you are planning to go to home games for either team, don’t forget that we offer complimentary shuttle service from our downtown Los Angeles Hotel near the Staples Center to local attractions including LA Live and the Staples Center.

Here is a brief listing of some of the top events and activities going on in and around the Kyoto Grand Hotel and Gardens.

For the weekend of January 28 – February 6

At the Staples Center

Score big savings on premium accommodations in downtown Los Angeles when you stay at Kyoto Grand Hotel and Gardens. Located just two miles from Staples Center and short drive to Dodgers Stadium, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and other LA sports arenas, it’s easy to watch your favorite sports teams in action from your base camp at Kyoto Grand Hotel and Gardens. Ask about hotel packages and special rates available for the big game.

This week is especially exciting as teams push to finish strong before the mid-season break that is the 2011 NBA All Star Game, which will be here in Los Angeles February 18-21.

Enjoy the action live when Coach Phil Jackson Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Andrew Bryant and all of the Los Angeles Lakers and Laker Girls welcome long time nemesis, the Boston Celtics lead by Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett. Will it be a warm welcome for Shaquille O’Neal? Is this a glimpse of the 2011 NBA Championship battle? Not if perennial rivals of the NBA Western Conference, the San Antonio Spurs, powered by Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobli, and Tony Parker, have anything to say about it. There is no resting on ones laurels, after these games, as the Lakers also host Western Conference challengers the Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets this week, as well. Sports fans will definitely recognize this is a great week for LA sporting events
